Ricardo Vidal

Mr. Vidal is Mechanical - Electrical Engineer and MBA from UNAM (National University of Mexico)

Mr. Vidal is president of Clevite de México, S.A. de C.V., a Mexican corporation dedicated to producing engine bearings, for gasoline and diesel application in Mexico.

Clevite de México, is a Q-1 an Yushu Sho awarded company, supplier of all OEM’S , certified ISO 9002 and QS 9000, located in Mexico and services export markets to 20 different countries worldwide.

Mr. Vidal is professor with tenure at the Engineering School at UNAM (National University of Mexico) for 30 years he has been teaching different subjects. He also taught for 10 years at the Business School at UNAM. He takes part in different commissions and specific projects at the University. He also is a regular speaker at different universities in Mexico and has several articles published.

Mr. Vidal has been and still is a board member and member of executive committees of different Mexican corporations like: John Deere, Moresa, KS Mexicana, Electronica Precision, FAPARTEL, Guillermo Murgia, Industrias Tecnos, VAC Inject Diesel, Herramientas Trupper, Vistar, Torres Marmex and Clevite de México.

Mr. Vidal’s professional experience over 30 years covered different fields, as: Investment banking, steel, farm equipment, capital goods, hands tools, small appliances, electronic components and auto parts.

Mr. Vidal is a member of the Boards of Directors and Technical Committee of INA (National Autoparts Industry) and member of the Board of Directors of Consejo Coordinador Automotriz (Coordinated Board of the Automotive Sector) and CANACINTRA (Camara Nacional de la Industria de la Transformación) (National Chamber of Manufacturing Industry).

He was involved in the negotiations of the NAFTA. Presently he is in charge of the automobile sector for the negotiations to the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and most of the Central and South American countries.
