Damian McKay was appointed Commercial Director GE Australia & New Zealand in January 2005. The Commercial function, a team of over 1,600 represents GE’s six business units to the business community. The key objectives of this role are to drive growth for GE across targeted market segments. In addition to this role Damian leads our Community Relations strategy that includes the activities of GE Volunteers.
Damian joined GE Energy in 2000 with his position prior to the current role being General Manager Asia of GE Energy’s Transmission and Distribution business. Prior to joining GE, Damian was involved in the deregulation of the Electricity industry and sports marketing with clubs in the Australian Football League.
Following the completion of a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Damian completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia.
